SHERWOOD, Ore. — A man who was wanted on an attempted murder charge out of Portland was arrested last week while he was walking to work in Sherwood, police officials said.
The Sherwood Police Department said its officers were asked to help the Portland Police Bureau find a man who had a felony warrant for attempted murder and other charges.
Officers found the man, who has not been publicly identified, as he was walking to work at a Safeway store.
“Although Sherwood is ranked one of the safest cities in Oregon with relatively few violent crimes, we aren’t immune to it,” Sherwood PD said in a post about the arrest. “Nor are we immune to violent criminals living in our city or passing through it.”
