BORING, Ore. — A motorcycle rider died Monday afternoon in a crash with a commercial box truck in Boring, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said.
The fatal crash was reported before 3 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Southeast Orient Drive and Joette Drive in Boring.
Deputies say a rider on a Harley Davidson collided with a box truck. People in the area started CPR on the motorcyclist, and first responders from Clackamas Fire and Sandy Police took over life-saving efforts.
The rider, identified as 40-year-old Canby resident Jeremy Taylor, was declared dead shortly after 3 p.m.
Oregon State Police troopers interviewed the truck driver and witnesses, and also performed a safety inspection on the vehicle. As of Thursday, no criminal charges have been filed and investigators don’t think speed or intoxication were factors in the crash.
